Use QR ordering at the table
Guests and members scan a QR code at the table, pick their drinks and order – no app needed. The order appears at the bar right away and, if you like, as an order ticket or on an order display, split by product group for kitchen and bar. This guide covers the setup, ordering and working through orders up to payment.

What you need
- Access to Administration (/admin) with the right to change the list's settings.
- Items with a price in the list – anything currently on offer can be ordered. If "On sale" is switched off for an item (sold out), it is missing from the order page.
- A device with the app at the bar, signed in with an account that may book for other accounts.
- A printer for the QR codes, or save them as a PDF from the browser's print dialog.
Switch on QR ordering
- Open /admin, choose the list on the left and then "Operations" → "QR ordering".
- In the "Settings" area tick "Allow ordering at the table".
- Under "Orders not accepted expire after (minutes)" set how long an order waits for the bar (5 to 1440 minutes).
- Click "Save". You can do the same in the WebApp or app under "Settings" → "Admin area" → "QR ordering" (group "Operations"), on the computer via the "Admin area" menu item.
Add stations and print QR codes
- Click "Create station" at the top and enter a name, for example "Table 4" or "Tent" (at most 120 characters).
- After creating it, the station's QR code appears right away with its name and link.
- Click "Print". A print page opens with a large QR code, the station name and a short note for guests.
- You can find the QR code again at any time: click "QR code" in the "Stations (QR codes)" table. "Copy link" copies the link.
- Create a separate station for each table or area – the bar then sees where every order comes from.
How the guest orders
- The guest scans the QR code with the phone camera. The order page opens in the browser; no app is needed.
- They choose items and quantities and tap "Continue". Under "Note for the bar (optional)" they can add a note.
- Under "How do you pay?" they choose "As a guest" – payment is then cash or card on delivery.
- Or they choose "On my account" and enter member code and PIN. The order is then booked to their member account.
- After sending, the page shows the status live: accepted, delivered or canceled.
Working through orders at the bar
- In the WebApp or app open the "Bar" tab (on the computer the "Bar" menu item) and there "Bar". New orders are listed with station, name or "Guest", items, total and waiting time.
- Tap "Accept". The order is then "In progress", so two people don't work on the same one.
- A member's order: "Deliver · book to …" books it to their account. The member sees the status on their order page.
- A guest's order: after taking payment tap "Paid cash" or "Card".
- If an order can't be served, tap "Cancel" and give a reason. Nothing is booked then.
Order tickets and order display for kitchen and bar
- Print order tickets: in /admin under "Operations" → "Receipt printers", edit the printer and under "What does this printer print?" tick "Order tickets (new orders from QR ordering)". Every new order then comes out at once as a ticket with station and items.
- Split by product group: for the kitchen printer choose, for example, the food category under "Only these product groups (categories)", and tick "All other products (category without its own printer)" for the bar printer. Each printer only gets its own lines; without a selection it prints all products.
- Optionally with "Prices on the order ticket". With "Print cancelled orders as a cancellation ticket" a cancellation ticket with the reason comes out as soon as the bar cancels an order.
- An order display instead of or next to the printer: choose the list on the left in /admin and create a screen under "Operations" → "Order displays" with "Add order display" – with a name, the same product group rules and "Amber after minutes" and "Red after minutes" for the traffic light. Open it on a tablet or TV via "QR code and link", without signing in.
- On the screen each open order is a tile with station, waiting time and the lines for this screen; new orders beep once the sound has been switched on with a tap. "In progress" accepts the order like "Accept" at the bar, "Done" takes it off the screen – shortly afterwards "Undo: order …" brings it back.
- Delivering, booking and taking payment stay at the bar in the WebApp or app. Which product group goes where – printer or screen – is shown by the "Print routes" overview under "Receipt printers"; lines without a target are neither printed nor shown.
Good to know
- Booking happens only on delivery, at the price that applied when the order was placed. Price rules such as happy hour are taken into account.
- If nobody accepts an order within the set time, it expires ("Expired") – without a booking.
- Each order can hold up to 50 different items, with a quantity of 1 to 99 per item.
- The queue is also shown in /admin under "Operations" → "QR ordering", read-only there. The stations table shows today's orders per station.
- The bin button "Revoke" switches a station off. Its QR code stops working; for a new one, create a new station.
If you get stuck
- The order page shows no items: "Allow ordering at the table" is not switched on or not saved for this list.
- Member code or PIN rejected: check code and PIN – the member code is on the member card in the WebApp or app. After ten failed attempts from the same network there is a 15-minute pause.
- Too many orders at this station: a station accepts only a limited number of orders per minute. Wait a moment and send again.
- The bar sees no orders: is the right list selected in the WebApp or app, and may that account book for other accounts?
