Club news: keeping members informed
Dates, the summer party, notes on settlement: with news you reach all members of a list where they book anyway – in the app and WebApp under "News", and by e-mail if you like. This guide shows where to write news, who receives it, how attachments work and how to change or withdraw a message.

What is club news?
With news you inform the members of a list – for example about dates, the summer party or notes on settlement. Members see it in the app and WebApp under "News"; new messages are marked "new" there.
Anyone who manages the list may write: owners and managers of the list as well as owners and administrators of the organization. A message you write always goes to all members of the list. Some messages are created by the system itself, for example for a levy; if the levy only applies to one group, only that group sees the message.
Writing news in administration (/admin)
- Open /admin, choose the list on the left, then "Operations" → "News".
- Click "New news" and enter "Title" and "Text".
- If the message should also go out by e-mail, tick "Also send by email to everyone". Below it you see how many addresses the e-mail would go to – only accounts with a linked login or an e-mail invitation have one.
- Click "Publish". The message appears immediately for all members under "News".
Writing a message in the WebApp or app
- Open "News". As a manager you see "New message" there.
- Enter "Title" and "Text (optional)" and, if needed, tick "Also send by email". The app shows how many e-mail addresses the message would go to; your own address is excluded.
- Tap "Send".
Attachments: pictures and PDF
- With "Add attachment" you attach up to 2 files to a message – pictures (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF) or PDFs, at most 3 MB each.
- Other file types, larger files or a third attachment are rejected as soon as you choose them; the server checks the content as well.
- Members see pictures as a preview and open PDFs with a tap – in the app via the share menu, in the browser in a new tab.
- The e-mail for the message only names the attachments, it does not attach them. Only the recipients of the message and those who manage news can open attachments.
How members are notified
- E-mail: only if you tick the box when writing – one e-mail per address. Anyone who has unsubscribed from e-mails about news gets none.
- Push: members who have switched on "News" under "Notifications" get a push message on their phone or in the browser – regardless of the e-mail box. Push is not included in the Basic and Tally plans.
- Whoever writes the message gets no notification themselves.
Editing and withdrawing
- In /admin you open a message by double-clicking it or via the buttons in its row ("Edit news"). Title, text and attachments can be changed; members then see the message marked "edited".
- In the WebApp and app you change a message under "News" with "Edit message".
- "Withdraw" removes the message for all members. E-mails already sent remain; attachments can no longer be opened afterwards.
