Set up the TV and projector display
The display puts your list's price list on a screen at the bar: large, readable from a distance, with happy hour and, if you like, donation pots, the leaderboard and your club logo. It needs no sign-in, only displays information and is set up in a few minutes – for events too.

What the display shows
- At the top the name of the list and the club, below it every product with its price, grouped by category. Only products that are currently available are shown. Switching off "On sale" for an item (sold out) also removes it from the display.
- During a happy hour a banner with a countdown to its end; products then show the happy hour price with the normal price crossed out next to it. When no happy hour is running, the next one is announced.
- Donation pots with the amount raised so far and, if set, the goal as a bar – only if the list has donations switched on.
- The leaderboard with the top five places per ranking – only if the list has it switched on.
- If not everything fits on the screen, the display turns the page by itself every 12 seconds and then starts again from the beginning.
- If you like, your club logo small at the top right: upload it in /admin under "Organization" → "Master data" in the "Logo" section with "Upload logo" and tick "On the TV/projector display, top right". It is off by default.
What you need
- An account for Administration (/admin) with the right to manage the list's settings (for example as owner or administrator). TV displays are set up only there; "TV displays" in the admin area of the WebApp or app leads straight there.
- A screen with a web browser: a smart TV, a TV or projector with a connected PC, mini PC or streaming stick, or a tablet.
- An internet connection at the screen.
Create a display
- Open /admin and choose the list whose prices should be shown on the left.
- Go to "Products & stock" → "TV displays".
- Click "Add display" and enter a name under "Name (optional)", for example "TV at the bar". Without a name the display is called "TV".
- Click "Add display". The display's QR code and link appear. You can create as many displays as you like, for example one per screen.
Open it on a TV, projector or in a browser
- Open the link in the screen's browser: with "Copy link" and paste, with "Open" directly on this computer, or via the QR code scanned with the device. You can find the QR code and link again at any time via the link icon in the display's row.
- Tap "Full screen" at the top right so the display fills the whole screen.
- Switch the design with "Light" and "Dark"; the browser remembers your choice. Add ?dark=1 to the link and the display always starts dark – handy for projectors.
- Simply leave the page open: it reloads every 30 seconds and also exactly when a happy hour starts or ends. If the connection drops, the last state stays on screen and the display says "No connection – showing the last state."
Donation pots and leaderboard
- Both only appear on the display if they are switched on for the list. You set this in /admin under "Operations" → "Donations & leaderboard": "Offer round-up donation" for the donation pots, "Badges & leaderboard" for the leaderboard.
- Only members who have agreed to it appear on the leaderboard.
- If both are off, the display shows only the price list – across the full width.
A display for an event
- An event is a list of its own. In /admin choose the event's list on the left instead of the main list.
- Create a separate display there under "Products & stock" → "TV displays" and open its link on the screen.
- The display shows the event's products, prices, happy hour, donation pots and leaderboard. Price rules and happy hour only exist there if they were copied when the event was created or added to its list afterwards. A display of the main list shows nothing from the event.
Manage and revoke displays
- Under "TV displays" you see every display of the list with its name, "Last seen" and the date it was set up. "Last seen" roughly shows when the screen last loaded the display.
- The trash icon and "Revoke" end a display. On its next reload the screen only shows "This display is not (or no longer) valid."
- If you need a new link, for example because the old one was passed on, revoke the display and create a new one.
- If the list is archived, its displays show nothing either.
Horse race on the TV display
- Open the horse race: in the WebApp or app under "Settings" → "Admin area" → "Horse race" ("Operations" group) or in /admin under "Operations" → "Horse race". The same people as for the wheel of fortune may use it: the bar staff (bartenders, cashiers) and everyone who manages the list's settings.
- "New race": a name, the mode "Drinks" (every unit booked is one step) or "Euro" (the amount booked), the goal – for example 50 drinks or €200 – and optionally a single item or category. Start and end are optional: only bookings within this time window count; without a start, counting begins with "Start".
- Then 2 to 10 horses: each an account or a team – an account group or several accounts. Name and colour are up to you; the administration suggests the colours. An account runs for only one horse per race.
- Choose the TV display (or all) and whether the race appears permanently or alternating with the price list. "Start" begins the race; "Stop" ends it and "Reset" turns it back into a draft.
- Only the server calculates the standings from the bookings; reversals are subtracted. The first to cross the finish line wins – in a tie, whoever got there first by booking time. If the time window ends earlier, the leader wins. The display celebrates the winner with confetti and a fanfare; the sound follows "Sound on/off" as for the wheel of fortune.
- Privacy: the display shows the horse name you entered. Without one, a team shows the name of its account group and a single account its nickname only if it agreed to the leaderboard – otherwise it appears as "Horse 3". Balances never appear on the display.
Wheel of fortune on the TV display
- Open the wheel of fortune: in the WebApp or app under "Settings" → "Admin area" → "Wheel of fortune" ("Operations" group) or in /admin under "Operations" → "Wheel of fortune". The bar staff (bartenders, cashiers) and everyone who manages the list's settings may use it.
- Tap "New wheel", enter a name – for example "Who pays for the round?" – and below it the options, one per line: names or whole sentences. "Take accounts from the list" inserts selected members (nickname, otherwise name – no balances). 2 to 60 options are allowed, all equally likely; the wheel picks the colours itself.
- Choose a TV display or "All TV displays" under "Display" and tap "Spin on TV display" on the wheel. With "Also show the wheel here" the wheel also runs on your device; without a TV display it only spins there ("Spin here").
- The display shows the wheel full screen and spins it for 15 to 19 seconds – with chasing lights, ticker and drum roll. Once it stops: a spotlight on the winning field, the name in large letters, confetti and a fanfare. After about 15 seconds the display shows the price list again; a new spin shows the new wheel straight away.
- "History – who won" lists every result with the wheel, the time, who spun it and on which display.
Wheel of fortune: fair and with sound
- Fair: the server draws the result with cryptographic randomness and saves it before the wheel starts. The displays only play the animation and stop exactly on the drawn field – nothing can be influenced on the device.
- Sound: browsers only play sound after an interaction. Click "Click to turn on the sound for the wheel" on the display once; at the top right, "Sound on" or "Sound off" switches it per display.
- While the wheel is spinning, no second spin starts; while the winner is being celebrated, it does.
- The wheel only shows the texts entered or nicknames/names – never balances. If "Reduce motion" is set on the device, the wheel spins briefly and without effects; the result is always shown as text too.
Create polls and vote
- Polls are created by everyone who may manage the news – owners, administrators and managers: in the WebApp or app under "News" (on mobile with the plus button at the bottom right and "New poll", on a computer with "New poll") or in /admin under "Operations" → "Polls" → "New poll".
- Enter the question and below it the answers, one per line (2 to 20). Choose "Multiple choice" (optionally with a maximum), "Members may add their own answers", "Changing the vote allowed", anonymous or with names, the result live or only after the end, and an end at a date and time (local time of the list). Without an end the poll runs until you choose "Close now".
- All members of the list with their own account can vote: in the WebApp and app right in the card under "News", and at the kiosk after signing in with a PIN via the yellow button "Poll open – vote now". There is one vote per account; guest accounts do not vote. The "News" tab counts open polls you have not voted in yet.
- If a member adds an answer, it can be chosen right away; duplicate answers – even spelled differently – are rejected. Remove unsuitable answers with "Remove answer"; votes for them are lost.
- After the first vote, the type of choice, "anonymous" and "changing the vote" stay fixed; you can still change the question, the end, add answers and change when the result is visible. "Withdraw" removes the poll everywhere.
Polls on the TV display
- The display shows running polls alternating with the price list: the question, bars with percentages and votes (or "Result after the end"), a countdown to the end and a QR code members scan to vote on their phone – the link opens the poll in the WebApp under "News".
- New votes arrive live and the bars move up immediately. A new poll appears right after it is created; when a poll ends, the display shows the final result with the winner highlighted – and keeps it in the rotation for six more hours.
- For each display, set in /admin under "Products & stock" → "TV displays" with the chart icon in its row ("Polls on this display") whether polls appear ("Show polls") and how often ("Interval (seconds)", 15 to 600, default 60). Each poll stays on screen for 15 seconds; the wheel of fortune takes priority.
- The display never shows names – not even for polls with names. For anonymous polls the server only records that an account has voted, separately from the vote itself: nobody, not even the administration, sees who chose what.
Good to know
- Anyone who knows the link can see the display – without signing in. So only show the link where it belongs and revoke it if it gets into the wrong hands.
- The display is read-only: nobody can book or change anything through it.
- It shows the normal price or the happy hour price. Prices that depend on the account – for members, guests or young people, for example – are unknown to the display.
- Change products and prices as usual under "Products & stock" → "Items" and "Price rules"; the display picks this up on its next reload. Price, name and "On sale" can also be changed in the WebApp or app under "Settings" → "Admin area" → "Items". In the Administration, "On sale" is a column in the items table.
